We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Sourcing, P2P Operations & Generative AI Analyst Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Project Analyst 2 – C10) based in Chennai, India. The Projects Analyst 2 is a business analyst / Functional support professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data with respect to Oracle ERP System. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.
In this role, you’re expected to:
- The SADU Analyst is responsible having a good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to maintain, identify and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments; thus making recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and users to gather requirements and coordinate with development team for implementation.
- Provide day-to-day functional support and troubleshooting root causes of issues for Oracle AP, OCR and other financial modules.
- Take ownership of issues and work with business users and development team to find resolutions.
- Maintain and modify configuration of Oracle modules.
- Analyzes existing system logic and uses evaluative judgment to make recommendations and implement enhancements or fixes.
- Formulates and defines scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry standards; documents requirements.
- Partners with appropriate development and production support areas.
- Participates in validation and testing activities.
- Applies good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.
- Assesses the applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluates options under circumstances not covered by procedures.
- Has limited but direct impact on the business through quality of activities provided; impacts team and closely related teams.
- Exchanges ideas and information in a concise and logical manner.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Bachelor’s/University degree
- Minimum 5+ years relevant experience Sourcing, Procurement and P2P Systems
- demonstrable experience in Strategic Sourcing, with a strong understanding of end-to-end sourcing methodologies including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and category management.
- Proficiency in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes is essential, encompassing requisition management, purchase order lifecycle, invoice processing, and supplier payment workflows.
- Candidate should possess hands-on exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) tools and techniques, with the ability to apply AI-driven insights to enhance procurement efficiency and decision-making.
- Experience with GEP Smart or other GEP sourcing and procurement platforms is considered a strong advantage, particularly in areas of spend analytics, sourcing events, and contract management.
- Familiarity with data disposal and data deletion policies, including regulatory compliance frameworks governing the secure handling and decommissioning of procurement-related data, will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrate the ability to bridge traditional procurement practices with emerging digital capabilities, driving continuous improvement across sourcing operations.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams are key attributes for this role.
- Experience working within a structured governance environment, adhering to data privacy and information security standards, will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets and leveraging technology platforms to generate actionable procurement insights.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and process optimization in a fast-paced, data-driven environment is essential.
