What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the UK Payroll team. We are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of payroll services, working closely with HR and Finance to manage the employee lifecycle and maintain statutory compliance within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Support end-to-end monthly payroll processing for UK entities, collaborating with the Payroll Lead to review inputs and outputs for absolute accuracy.
Manage payroll data and validation, including the collection of timekeeping information and the preparation of lifecycle events such as P45s, pension enrolment, and statutory leave (SMP/SPP).
Lead reconciliations and submissions, preparing payments for HMRC and third parties while ensuring all documentation meets internal audit controls.
Act as a key point of contact for queries, responding to payroll-related questions from employees, HR, and Finance stakeholders with clarity and speed.
Drive operational improvements, working with external vendors to mitigate risk and contributing to team-wide projects to scale our payroll processes.
What You’ll Need to Thrive

Significant experience in a UK payroll role, with a deep understanding of UK legislation including tax, NIC, and statutory payments.
Advanced numerical and analytical skills, with a proven ability to perform complex reconciliations with high attention to detail.
Strong stakeholder communication skills, capable of explaining payroll complexities clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the confidence to question existing processes and suggest more efficient ways of working.
Expert Excel skills and the ability to manage high volumes of data accurately under tight deadlines.
Nice to Have
Strong understanding of Workday, particularly within an in-house payroll processing context.
Experience working within a high-growth technology business or a complex three-sided marketplace.
