Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Business Manager within J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management's Global Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities (GFICC) group, based in London. This role offers a chance to be a trusted advisor, contributing to strategic business initiatives and optimizing performance across EMEA and APAC regions.
As a GFICC International Business Manager Associate within the GFICC group, you will be a trusted advisor to Business/Group Heads, assisting in identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. You will contribute to the prioritization and delivery of strategic business initiatives for the GFICC business, aiming to optimize business performances and promote key initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of strategic business initiatives for GFICC International (EMEA and APAC regions), through project management, tracking, and coordination.
- Communicate effectively with key business partners, including Portfolio Managers, Traders, Investment Specialists, Research Analysts, and Investment Directors, across the global GFICC platform, to understand initiatives and drive next steps.
- Partner with the GFICC APAC Business Management lead to support initiatives across GFICC APAC locations (Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, and China).
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests related to front office business issues.
- Develop an understanding of key market developments and regulations applicable to GFICC and support involvement in market and regulatory change, governance oversight, and product development initiatives.
- Partner with Control Management to ensure GFICC meets risk and operational control objectives including the completion of action plans.
- Assist in managing the process during internal and external audits, on behalf of the GFICC business.
- Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating design skills using Excel and PowerPoint for presentation to GFICC senior management.
- Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business practices.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Relevant experience with an understanding of financial markets, asset management, or related experience.
- Pro-active and excellent communicator with the ability to connect with audiences across different levels and locations.
- Able to work independently, including proactively dealing with time-sensitive business issues.
- Have the awareness to be able to escalate when necessary to regional and global managers.
- Have the flexibility to meet changing requirements and priorities.
- Able to problem-solve, methodical and self-disciplined, with attention to detail.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with willingness and desire to further develop knowledge base.
- Willing to accept responsibility and motivated to achieve excellence.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Understanding of fixed income and/or derivative products.
- Experience in project management and strategic initiative delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
