Job Description

As a Business Management Associate within the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Risk organziation, you will be instrumental in supporting/advising senior management and in coordinating strategic and tactical objectives. In this dynamic role, you will will support activities that span across the CIB Risk team, along with Firmwide Risk functions such as, County Risk, Reputation Risk and Principal Risk. The Business Management function optimizes business performances by helping to drive key (strategic) initiatives and priorities. We act as independent, trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks.
Job Responsibilites
- Partner with Risk Leaders across CIB and Firmwide functions to support Chief of Staff type needs, including materials for regulator interactions, help drive team meetings and agendas, town hall & off-site preparations, assisting in coordination of other recurring & ad-hoc deliverables
- Support the coordination of the weekly CIB Risk Committee, Board Risk Committee materials production, and other governance processes.
- Coordinate data risk activities across CIB Risk with the owners of shared drives, sharepoints, and other methods of storing data, which includes identifying and implementing automated solutions for regular processes. This work involves frequent global interactions with owners in Wholesale Credit Risk, Market Risk, and other CIB & Firmwide Risk functions.
- Build strong partnerships with cross functional and other Risk teams supporting day-to-day operations and driving opportunities for greater efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Drive compelling executive communications including developing content and materials for Board presentations, business reviews and other forums. Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way.
- Respond ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis.
- Instill and maintain strong organizational disciplines, controls and practices including adherence to policies and standards, creation and organization of internal procedures and documentation, and use of document management tools to organize, refine and reuse materials.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships globally
- Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions conciselyHighly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills to manage competing demands - the ability to change gears quickly
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and present well to senior and global business heads
- Attention to detail with logical thought process
- Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work across a global team
