You will serve as an issue expert for our business teams, ensuring the International Consumer point of view is understood by key stakeholders, including relevant policy-making bodies, trade organizations, and public-private initiatives. You will also be responsible for monitoring the views of competitors and providing guidance on where our views and competitor views differ to better understand the potential impact on the business. Working closely with compliance, legal, product, and internal public policy teams, you will contribute to shaping the evolving financial regulatory landscape across the UK and EU, aligning advocacy efforts with our global policy framework. This effort will also include several virtual team members from the business, who will participate in this work as part of their broader mandates, in addition to other business partners who will provide input or participate as needed.#

- Maintain a proactive engagement calendar across jurisdictions to promote transparency with virtual team members, market leads, and Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations teams.
- Respond on behalf of the business and contribute to own name responses or broader industry responses to consultations.
- Analyze and interpret relevant regulatory developments, contributing to the development of the bank’s position on key regulatory proposals.

- Represent the bank in trade bodies and advocacy groups where appropriate.
- Support internal audits and board-level updates on regulatory engagement strategy and outcomes.
