Job Description

The Employee Experience Virtual Agent team is building a dedicated operations tower to build, scale, and run the Operational Engine (OE) for the JPMC Assistant. The OE is an automated oversight platform driving continuous improvement and real-time observability for our agentic AI employee assistant. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within the product team.

As the Product Portfolio Operations Director in the Employee Experience Virtual Agent team, you’ll lead a small, agile team of product / product operations managers to deliver an end-to-end automated system ingests employee feedback and performance data, digests this information, and uses it to drive meaningful outcomes. As a result, the JPMC Assistant can learn and improve with each interaction, creating a feedback loop that enhances its capabilities over time.

We seek a strategic, hands-on leader to build and scale the OE. The program is demanding, and it will expose you to all levels of the firm and require you to connect with diverse partners. We need a self-starter who thrives in challenging environments and is comfortable being uncomfortable.

As the right hand of the product director, you will build relationships, sell the vision, and keep a cool head under pressure. We want a player-coach who leads by example, rolls up their sleeves, and is committed to developing critical infrastructure, not just delegating tasks. If you’re ready for a tough, high-impact, high-visibility role and want to shape the future of AI-driven employee experience at JPMorgan Chase, we want to hear from you.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated systems for labeling, triaging, and fine-tuning interaction data to optimize the JPMC Assistant.
  • Deliver daily incident reports and real-time scorecards to provide clear visibility into system health and performance.
  • Provide actionable usage analytics and self-service triage tools to empower product and support teams.
  • Monitor conversations for compliance, identifying and addressing deviations from firm risk and control standards.
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
  • Act as the right hand of the product director, helping to shape and communicate the vision for the OE.
  • Take a hands-on, player-coach approach—leading by example, rolling up your sleeves, and actively contributing to the work.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Deep experience or equivalent expertise in product management (technical or data focused), data operations, operations automation, analytics lead or data science manager, with experience in a leadership capacity
  • Proven ability to manage and implement operational effectiveness and portfolio management initiatives
  • Proven experience building and operating large-scale, automated systems or platforms
  • Strong technical proficiency in data analytics, automation, and/or system monitoring tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure, ambiguous, and fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • Self-starter mentality with a hands-on approach and willingness to “roll up sleeves” to get the job done
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
