As an Securities Based Lending Analyst within the Securities-Based Lending Team, you will be responsible for originating and maintaining a large portfolio of loans secured by liquid assets for Private Bank clients. SBL Analyst is a perfect early-career role for those seeking to develop their expertise in credit risk and financial markets.
Job responsibilities
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver the best product solution for the client with a sound credit structure;
- Underwrite, set up, and document new credit facilities in a timely fashion and liaise with other teams across the firm to ensure timely delivery;
- Generate and review credit proposals, ensure adherence to credit policies, accurate borrower analysis and a completeness of credit risk assessment. Maintain the highest standards of quality and accuracy;
- Provide ongoing portfolio maintenance. Proactively resolve exceptions, including under-margin situations, past due principal/interest payments and transactional issues.

Review other transactions that have an element of credit risk, such as derivative trades, to ensure trading activity adheres to the firm’s policies and risk appetite.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree / professional qualification or relevant business experience in the financial industry;
- English fluency essential;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good organizational skills and ability to drive change;

Ability to work well in an integrated team environment; dedicated team player.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Understanding or experience with credit risk and/or lending analysis, including lending values, credit regulations, and legal documentation;
- Understanding of financial markets and financial instruments, including derivatives;
- Fluency in Italian or French
- Experience in using VBA / Alteryx / Signavio / Python and/or Tableau
