Job Description
As a Global Equities Liquidity Control Associate within the wider Financial Reporting, Analysis & Control team (a part of Product Control), you will be responsible for understanding, monitoring, analysing, controlling and reporting the Global Equities liquidity position. The Equities business is a global leader which spans a wide product set, including equity derivatives, cash equity securities, prime brokerage and clearing.
In this role, you will support the team in managing and analyzing liquidity, while also contributing to the team’s strategic direction and change initiatives. You will help identify areas for process improvement and participate in the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
This position offers a strong foundation for understanding the business and its impact on liquidity, as well as opportunities to collaborate with various teams and apply your expertise as you grow in the role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day functioning of the Global Equities Liquidity Control team
- Assist in liquidity control and analysis, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Front Office, CIB Treasury Controllers and Product Controllers.
- Produce key deliverables, conduct consistency checks, roll forwards, and perform data quality and analytical reviews.
- Identify and drive process improvements, ensuring all procedures are well-controlled, documented, and transparent.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new solutions, especially those utilizing Digital Accelerator tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, Alteryx, and Tableau.
- Enthusiastic self-starter; inquisitive/curious.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Control and efficiency mindset, with an aptitude for designing and building robust and efficient processes.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Banking experience and some understanding of equities products and liquidity concepts are desirable but not essential.
