Job Summary:

As a Securities Services - Agency Securities Finance Trader - Associate within JPMorgan Chase & Co Agency Securities Finance team, you will be part of a broad and diversified business. You will manage the risk and profitability of a designated trading book, maximizing risk-adjusted revenues for our underlying beneficial owners, and analyzing client portfolios and parameters to deploy collateral in an optimum manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maximize risk-adjusted revenues by negotiating rates with borrowers; analyzing client’s portfolios to drive revenue opportunities
  • Risk management, positioning and ongoing optimization of the trading books
  • Develop the trading capabilities across multi asset class to maximize the breadth of demand and the JPM supply. This will include rotation through the cash desk.
  • Idea generation, positioning and risk management around corporate actions.
  • Pricing new and existing business including overnight, term transactions and exclusive portfolios
  • Managing and growing external client relationships
  • Providing expert commentary to both external and internal clients on a single name and sector-level.
  • Analyse any cross market / sector driven opportunities; work in partnership with other traders across the franchise to maximise opportunities.
  • Daily P&L reconciliation/book management and maintenance. Close interaction with related business units to maximize franchise value
  • Work with desk head to own the revenue/plan and forecasting for product/book. Articulation of revenue variances including market developments/events that could result in a deviation
  • Data driven and have the ability to extract and interpolate data using trends to further understand pricing. Also be able to work with the QR team to further extract value from the trading book
  • Managing and developing client relationships – ability to interact both verbally and via IB to provide market colour, strategic direction and highlighting opportunities and risks
  • Building solid relationships with partner areas such as legal & compliance, risk, operations and technology.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
