As a Business Manager in our Business Management team, you play a pivotal role in driving key initiatives and optimizing performance. You act as a trusted advisor, partnering with senior management to align resources and address strategic objectives. You help us identify, escalate, and mitigate business risks, ensuring our continued success. Together, we create solutions that prepare our business for the future and deliver lasting impact.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement new business strategies and strategic initiatives across departments and support groups
- Optimize business performance by driving key initiatives related to fees, cost base, RWA, and capital utilization
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate business risks, including legal, tax, regulatory, and capacity issues
- Analyze financial performance and expenses, identifying and driving productivity initiatives
- Partner with Operations and Technology to define future workflows and implement technology projects
- Collaborate with external service and infrastructure providers to support business needs
- Represent the business in internal and external working groups
- Advise senior management and coordinate deployment of corporate resources
- Prepare the business to meet evolving market requirements
- Drive implementation of strategic and tactical objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Demonstrates significant experience influencing senior leaders and building trust
- Acts as a counterweight to senior management, ensuring balanced decision-making
- Understands regulatory environments and maintains compliance with policies
- Possesses strong commercial acumen and market structure knowledge
- Assesses and manages business risks with sound judgment
- Prioritizes tasks according to business objectives
- Delivers results through action-oriented problem-solving and takes responsibility and leverages virtual teams effectively
- Analyzes and summarizes complex data with attention to detail
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Communicates clearly and concisely in presentations and executive briefs
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Finance or Business Management functions
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in Operations within Corporate and Investment Banking
- Proven ability to motivate and lead teams in unstructured environments
- Track record of driving bottom-line improvements
- Proactive self-starter with a passion for business enhancement
