Introduction

The Payments Corporate Development & Partnerships (CD&P) team identifies competitive advantages for the business, leveraging investments, M&A, and partnerships to enhance JPM Payments' strategic positioning.

The Partnerships function collaborates with the Payments business, cross-LOB, and corporate functions to evaluate, structure, and execute potential partnerships to either fill product gaps, create distribution channels or to drive innovation. The role also involves a significant amount of external and internal engagement to help drive strategy and identify areas in which we can add value. In addition to identifying new opportunities, a key part of the role will be to manage relationships with our existing partners and drive revenue growth and client updates for these partnerships

Job Summary

As a Vice President, Partnership Manager within the EMEA Corporate Developments & Partnerships team, you will be working on the cutting edge of payments, being responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with fintech companies across the EMEA region. Your focus will be on integrating and commercializing fintech solutions, to enhance our banking services and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This role will report to the EMEA Head of Partnerships who is based in London and the role is part of the global CD&P team.

Job responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities and conduct market research to identify potential fintech partners in the EMEA region that align with the bank's strategic objectives, addressing product capability gaps and customer needs. Evaluate partnership opportunities based on regional market trends and technological advancements.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships. Establish and maintain strong relationships with fintech companies. Negotiate and execute partnership agreements that drive mutual value and support the bank's innovation goals in the EMEA region.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams and work closely with regional & location product, technology, compliance, conduct, and operational Risk (CCOR), and legal teams to ensure seamless integration of fintech solutions. Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders and fintech partners.
  • Drive Regional Innovation. Champion the adoption of innovative fintech solutions that enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and expand the bank's product offerings in the EMEA region. Stay informed on regional trends & keep abreast of the latest developments in the fintech industry within the EMEA region and globally, including emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics &
  • Remain globally connected and work with our global CD&P teams to leverage existing relationships across the firm to drive opportunities in the EMEA region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to commercialize fintech solutions, ensuring they are effectively marketed and monetized to achieve business objectives. Track and report on the revenue generated from these solutions to assess their financial impact and success. & Monitor and Report Performance and track and analyse the performance of fintech partnerships with a strong emphasis on governance of partner management (from onboarding to commercialization). Provide regular updates and insights to regional management on partnership outcomes and strategic impact
  • Consults with clients to understand their current processes, challenges, and priorities & Supports the Sales teams in account planning by delivering industry and treasury solution strategies
  • Develops deep knowledge within specific industries and across a broad set of products, and serves as a trusted advisor to offer modified solutions to clients and prospects
  • Conducts market research and analysis to provide insights into market demands and industry trends, while communicating essential feedback and acting as the voice of the client

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Significant experience solutioning for an industry or working with a broad set of related products
  • Experience working and engaging with clients in a highly matrixed and complex organization
  • Experience in Payments, ideally in a Product, Partnerships or Sales role
  • Proven experience in partnership management, business development, or a related role within the financial services or fintech industry in the EMEA region.
  • Strong understanding of fintech trends, technologies, and business models, ideally in the EMEA market.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills & Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills & Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Enthusiastic work ethic, passion for learning and professional curiosity.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative approach, balanced with independent thought leadership.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills and ability to present complex ideas to senior stakeholders
