As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms Architecture group, you will utilize your expertise to enhance and develop platforms using the latest technologies, while also supporting the adoption of strategic global solutions. You will leverage your advanced experience in security and controls architecture to collaborate with colleagues across the organization, ensuring the delivery of platforms that are secure, scalable, and resilient by design.
Job responsibilities
- Partners with engineering teams to deliver control related solutions aligned with product and architecture strategy and priorities
- Partners with Global Technology teams responsible for Identity & Access Management (IAM) services and with Cyber Technology & Controls organizations.
- Leads adoption of shift-left strategies by embedding IAM and control alignment into platforms, services and deployment technologies.
- Drives adoption of architecture practices to reduce the number of control issues discovered in the organization.
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
- Designs and oversees the delivery of critical frameworks that deliver policy as code, integrated into IP Platforms
- Serves as IP's go-to subject matter expert on questions of IAM and Controls automation
- Contributes to the development of control related capabilities in line with IP's product, service and platform delivery model
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience.
- Proven experience in infrastructure, security or enterprise architecture, ideally working for a global, complex, enterprise organization.
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in the disciplines of IAM and/or Controls.
- Specifically, experience of authentication, authorization, privileged access, secrets management and identity governance.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Deep knowledge in application and infrastructure architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
- Ability to influence large engineering organizations through their technical credibility, vision and energy,
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands on experience with IAM technologies and protocols (OAuth, OIDC, etc), cloud native IAM (AWS, Azure, GCP), federated identity solutions, etc.
- Hands on experience with Policy as Code (OPA, Rego, Hashi Sentinel, etc)
- Familiarity with security standards (SOX, FFIEC, NIST, PCI DSS, etc)
- Familiarity with zero trust principles.
- Practical cloud native experience
