Job Summary:
As a Product Owner in the Athena Platform team, you will partner with engineering, business, and Quantitative Research teams to define the strategy and roadmap for Telemetry and SRE. You will manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and ensure the platform meets business needs across Markets. You will drive adoption of strategic capabilities, measure success with automated KPIs, and foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, and Quantitative Research teams to define and prioritize technical product features and enhancements.
- Manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs.
- Lead the development and delivery of platform capabilities to clearly defined objectives and key results, using automated KPIs to measure success.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of digital solutions.
- Balance due diligence with speed to market, and creativity with discipline, to produce efficient and thoughtful digital solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to drive adoption of strategic capabilities, gather feedback, and continuously improve product offerings.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Software engineering experience.
- Experience working in a financial markets company such as an investment bank.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to deliver a compelling strategy and vision that results in stakeholder buy-in and action.
- Sound judgement and the ability to make decisions about prioritization.
- Experience as a Product Owner or a strong desire to move into this role.
- Hands-on approach and ability to be self-sufficient in processing data.
- Self-driven with a curiosity to learn and improve.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience working with platform engineering or SRE teams.
- Familiarity with telemetry, observability, or reliability engineering concepts.
- Experience in agile product development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of new technologies or capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a complex organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for building innovative solutions in a collaborative environment.
