Job Summary:
Global Payments Controls is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Payments Controls Strategy and Transformation function. This high-visibility role will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of the Payment Controls organization, socialising this with stakeholders and mobilising the organization to execute against this. In addition, the role will oversee a Controls Assessment function, driving proactive reviews of the risk and control estate to identify areas to enhance the Control Framework.

Job Responsibilities:
- Define the strategic direction and priorities for the Payments Controls organization and communicate these effectively across the global team.
- Lead a project management office (PMO) to support programs across the Payments Controls organization globally.
- Drive delivery of initiatives efficiently and consistently, applying a strategic mindset to achieve results across teams and the wider organization.
- Structure and lead targeted deep-dive assessments to surface risks, identify enhancements, and agree on remediation steps to strengthen the overall control framework.
- Advise and influence senior leaders on key business decisions and major change initiatives.
- Build and issue structured reporting to ensure stakeholder awareness of strategic priority delivery.
- Develop executive-level materials for key meetings with Payments business and controls leadership.
- Assist in defining future operating models, as well as control and governance frameworks.
- Apply effective risk mitigation strategies and manage issue escalation.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation; identify and implement change to drive risk reduction.
- Demonstrate flexibility, independence, and the ability to create strong partnerships across the organization.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Ability to build and lead high performing teams across disperse locations.
- Extensive program management experience, ideally with a strategic mindset and financial services background.
- Proven experience leading strategy, operations, process improvement, and high-profile strategic engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems and drive projects from strategy to execution.
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, change management, influencing, project management, delegation, and coaching.
- Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams.
- Ability to synthesize information and craft compelling narratives for senior management & skilled at distilling broad-ranging information into key points & quickly establishes rapport with business heads and other leaders.
- End-to-end project management experience, including scoping, business case development, implementation, and change management.
- Exceptional analytical skills to understand diverse programs and complex end-to-end workflows.
- Effective change management and transformation experience; ability to influence teams and help them adapt to change.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, budget management, risk management, and operations.
