As an Associate ERM on the Euro Swaps desk, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent challenge and partnering with the desk on algorithmic trading initiatives. You will act as a key liaison to ATS, help influence the design and implementation of systematic IRS market making, and proactively harness data to drive decisions. Within our inclusive and dynamic environment, you will strengthen risk management, support sustainable business growth, and contribute creative solutions to complex trading problems.

Job responsibilities

  • Liaise between the Euro Swaps desk and ATS to align risk with systematic strategy design.
  • Provide independent oversight of IRS//basis, tracking key sensitivities and P&L drivers.
  • Influence and challenge systematic IRS market‑making within risk appetite and governance.
  • Build data‑driven analytics to improve quoting, inventory, and hedging.
  • Partner with quants and model risk on methodologies, backtesting, validation, and data quality.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in market or e‑trading risk, quant, or rates trading.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market data.
  • Excellent decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or similar languages for data analyses and automation

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands-on exposure to algorithmic market making, ATS.
  • Familiarity with electronic trading platforms and market analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of market risk frameworks; experience with P&L attribution and backtesting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market conditions

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
