As a Prime Brokerage Settlements Vice President within the Prime Brokerage team, you will own end-to-end accountability for Prime Brokerage settlements across European markets, leading a team to deliver timely, accurate post-trade settlement for equity and fixed income products. You will set strategy, drive risk reduction and client outcomes, and spearhead process and technology transformation in partnership with clients, brokers, middle office, and technology stakeholders. You will represent the function in senior forums and be a visible leader for operational excellence and change delivery.

Job responsibilities

  • Direct and govern the timely, precise settlement of equity and fixed income trades; establish KPIs/SLAs and drive continuous improvement across markets and products
  • Proactively manage failing settlements, implement structural fixes, and minimize penalties through root-cause elimination and enhanced controls, in line with the firm’s disciplined risk management standards
  • Build senior relationships with clients, brokers, and internal partners; chair action-oriented reviews; and escalate and resolve issues with urgency and accountability at the right level of governance
  • Use analytics to identify trends, influence client and broker behaviours, and prioritize book-of-work; translate insights into measurable operational and client outcomes
  • Lead process optimization and technology-enabled automation programs, defining business requirements, success metrics, and adoption plans to scale impact across the platform
  • Coach and develop associates and analysts; cultivate a culture of humility, empathy, and high performance; set clear goals and provide structured feedback and growth opportunities
  • Enhance operational control frameworks, ensure policy adherence, and prepare for/excel in audits and regulatory change with a prevention-first mindset


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven leadership in post‑trade operations within financial services, with deep expertise in at least one product or workflow and demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences, including senior stakeholders
  • Track record of disciplined operational risk management and of driving sustainable fixes that reduce fails, penalties, and operating losses at scale
  • Advanced analytics capability: experience analysing large datasets to spot trends, influence behaviour, and deliver measurable change; fluency with dashboards/metrics and data storytelling for decision‑making forums
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management with humility, empathy, and kindness; ability to unite cross‑functional teams and hold stakeholders accountable to outcomes and timelines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong knowledge of Prime Brokerage products and settlement mechanics; familiarity with European market structures and settlement regulations is advantageous
  • Independent thinker with a passion for process innovation and continuous improvement; naturally curious, eager to learn and teach, and optimistic and solutions‑oriented in approach to problem solving
