As Regional Head for Portfolio Management within Trade & Working Capital, you will lead the EMEA portfolio to deliver balanced growth and resilient returns – own regional portfolio strategy, risk management, and governance and partner across product, sales, risk, finance, and operations to optimize capital, liquidity, and profitability while ensuring strong controls and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set and execute portfolio strategy across regional core trade and structured trade products in line with global targets
  • Chair regional deal/portfolio committees to drive decisions on pricing, structure, and risk appetite for material transactions
  • Optimize capital and liquidity allocation, managing concentrations and country/sector exposures to maximize riskadjusted returns
  • Lead quarterly reviews and earlywarning routines; identify trends and emerging sovereign/industry risks; define and track actions
  • Establish underwriting standards and risk frameworks with Risk; oversee limits, approvals, stress testing, and watchlists
  • Own forecasting and portfolio KPIs with Finance; improve RWA, capital, liquidity, and provisioning outcomes
  • Ensure regulatory and policy adherence across jurisdictions in partnership with Compliance and Controls

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong experience in lending portfolio management, risk, and/or governance roles
  • Proven track record balancing growth and risk, improving returns, and reducing volatility
  • Strong credit and structuring expertise; adept at sovereign and sector risk assessment
  • Fluency in RWA, capital, liquidity, return metrics, stress testing, and provisioning
  • Demonstrated governance leadership and committee decisionmaking with robust controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong crossfunctional leadership


Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Advanced degree
  • Broad trade product coverage including SCF, receivables, documentary trade, and export finance
  • Distribution/syndication experience across bank, insurance, and investor channels
  • Credit and documentation fluency across multijurisdictional frameworks
  • Datadriven decisioning; comfort with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Excel, dashboards); SQL/Python
  • Change leadership in evolving regulatory environments; ESG and supplychain insights
  • Multilingual capability within EMEA
