The EMEA Equity Derivatives business is made up of serval trading units, which includes Exotic Derivates. The Exotic Derivatives business primarily executes complex, path, dependent equity linked products across single names, indices and multi asset underliers providing tailored risk transfer and yield enhancement solutions to clients.

As an Equity Exotics Product Controller you will be responsible for producing a substantiated T+1 P&L and Market Risk to the Front Office and senior management. The role partners closely with Front Office, Market Risk, Valuation Control, Financial Control, Operations, and Technology to ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and timely escalation of issues impacting financials.

This role is suited for those with a passion for equity markets, the technical ability to interrogate large data to provide insights and accuracy, confidence to challenge current practices, and an intellectual curiosity to incorporate technology to improve workflows.

Job Responsibilities

  • Produce daily P&L and Market Risk exposure reporting to Front Office
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the P&L drivers to Front Office heads, Business Managers and senior Finance management
  • Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives
  • Assist with month-end close processes
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis
  • Serve as an analytical and project support resource for Product Control

Required qualifications, skills and competencies

  • Work experience within Product Control, Audit, Valuations or related area
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area
  • Part/Full qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA preferred
  • Experience/understanding of derivative products and financial theory
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Experience using Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, VBA would be advantageous
