Join us to make a meaningful impact on how we build and operate resilient applications and infrastructure. You’ll work with talented engineers and senior stakeholders, influencing the design and execution of critical operational platforms. This is your opportunity to grow your career, collaborate across teams, and help set the standards for our technology community. We value teamwork, innovation, and a candidate-centric approach to solving complex challenges.

Job Summary:
Enterprise Observability Platforms (EOP) are a product line in the CTO (Chief Technology Office) organization responsible for a suite of operational tools that help internal customers operate more resilient applications and infrastructure. With approximately 170 engineers across multiple teams and geographies, EOP has a significant mandate and high visibility across the firm's technology leadership.

We are looking for a senior technologist who will work across all teams in the group — shaping architectural direction while also ensuring that strategic, cross-cutting initiatives land successfully. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of technical design and execution, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to influence how the firm builds and runs its most critical operational platforms. The successful candidate will be a passionate, results-orientated technologist with a drive to work with people to create the right, modern solutions. Teamwork and collaboration are critical success factors for the role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Guide engineering teams in designing solutions that provide valuable operational insights in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Apply architecture principles and define non-functional requirements with product partners and customers
  • Evaluate and recommend observability tools, including vendor and open source solutions
  • Drive consistency and apply architecture standards across developed tools
  • Lead strategic, cross-cutting initiatives from planning to execution and closure
  • Establish milestones, identify dependencies and risks, and coordinate delivery across teams and stakeholders
  • Translate architectural decisions into actionable delivery plans and production-ready solutions
  • Foster collaboration and teamwork across global engineering teams
  • Present technical and program updates to senior technical and non-technical audiences
  • Resolve conflicts and broker solutions to complex problems
  • Promote a positive, inclusive working environment

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, engaging effectively at all levels
  • Ability to switch between technical design and planning, coordination, and stakeholder management
  • Experience motivating and influencing software development teams
  • Skilled in presenting to executive-level audiences and architectural review boards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technology background in both development and support organizations, ideally within global financial institutions
  • Proven team player with experience leading global teams across regions and cultures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts quickly

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Recent hands-on experience with Java, Python, or Golang
  • Understanding of application observability, telemetry, and automation of operational processes
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS or GCP
  • Background in delivering infrastructure or platform-level programs with regulatory, compliance, or resiliency requirements (e.g., network segmentation, disaster recovery, regional data sovereignty)

Why Join Us?
You’ll be part of a high-visibility team with a significant mandate, working alongside approximately 170 engineers across multiple geographies. We offer the chance to influence how we build and run our most critical operational platforms, providing opportunities for career growth, collaboration, and innovation.
