As an Associate, in the Applied AI team, you will contribute to enterprise-grade solutions that support KYC and onboarding operations and enhance the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with software engineers, data/ML partners, and business stakeholders to deliver practical improvements under guidance, with strong opportunities for learning and growth at JPMorganChase.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and deployment of AI-enabled services supporting KYC, onboarding operations, and software engineering workflows.

  • Implement and maintain scalable, reusable components for AI/ML solutions, following established architecture patterns and engineering standards.

  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI) and front-end components where needed (React) to deliver usable, production-ready capabilities.

  • Develop and support ETL processes and data pipelines that enable model development, evaluation, and operational reporting.

  • Assist with database design and integration, including graph database modeling for relationship-driven use cases.

  • Partner with AI and Data Science specialists to help operationalize models and embed services into strategic systems and processes.

  • Participate in technical discovery of new AI infrastructure tools and approaches, summarizing findings and tradeoffs for the team.

  • Document implementation details, design decisions, and operational runbooks to support maintainability and auditability.

  • Help ensure production solutions meet expectations for reliability, scalability, security, monitoring, and compliance, escalating risks and issues as appropriate.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with React for building user-facing components.

  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs (e.g., FastAPI).

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience building or supporting ETL processes and data pipeline engineering.

  • Working knowledge of database design and integration, including exposure to graph database modeling concepts.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and basic compliance considerations in production environments.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business partners.

  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams with diverse backgrounds and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and fundamental techniques, with interest in applied use cases.

  • Experience applying AI, analytics, or automation in Finance or enterprise Technology environments.

  • Familiarity with Databricks, MLflow, Grafana, and/or PySpark.

  • Experience supporting delivery workstreams with stakeholder coordination, structured execution, and clear status reporting.
