As a Trading Services Associate in Trading Services, you will help ensure trading activity is captured accurately in risk management systems and that daily controls and reconciliations are completed accurately on time.
Job responsibilities
- Capture transactions accurately and on time in risk management systems.
- Complete intraday and end-of-day processes, including completeness and reconciliation checks.
- Perform required controls diligently, ensuring timely completion and sign-off.
- Partner with Operations and infrastructure teams to support a one-team approach.
- Communicate clearly with support teams to drive timely query resolution.
- Investigate breaks and issues, escalating as needed and driving them to closure.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that improve processes and business architecture.
- Build a strong understanding of trading structures from financial and operational perspectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant experience in a trading support, operations, or controls-focused environment.
- Working knowledge of derivatives and hedging products (Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Forward Rate Agreement (FRA), Foreign Exchange (FX), Zero Coupon and Overnight Index Swaps (OIS), Bond and Futures).
- Understanding of front-to-back operations processes, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting.
- Ability to collaborate across partner functions (Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Legal, and Collateral) and understand downstream impacts.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain, question, and challenge appropriately.
- High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to perform effectively in a pressurized and changing environment while remaining collaborative and solution-oriented
- Excel proficiency.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Excel VBA capability.
- Experience contributing to process improvement, business architecture changes, or strategic initiatives.
