Job Summary:
As a Vice President in the Payment Network Office, you will enable Relationship Managers and Product Domains to confidently navigate and execute against Visa and Mastercard scheme rules for the EU region. You will provide timely interpretation, guidance, and structured support for questions and requests, while managing EU-relevant mandates end-to-end. Your role is essential in translating scheme communications into clear internal guidance, engaging the right teams, and driving consistent, compliant implementation across products, client solutions, and operating processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise Relationship Managers and Product Domains on Visa and Mastercard rules and requirements impacting the EU region
- Triage, structure, and respond to inbound questions, providing practical guidance and clear summaries of obligations, constraints, timelines, and impacts
- Support Product Domains in capturing effective requirements and acceptance criteria aligned to scheme rules
- Partner with client-facing teams to shape and validate scheme-related communications and positioning
- Interpret Visa and Mastercard rules, bulletins, and technical change communications relevant to the EU
- Produce and maintain documentation of business and technical impacts, routing changes to internal owners
- Coordinate clarifications with Visa and Mastercard, ensuring questions are well-formed and responses are tracked
- Manage mandates and programs impacting the EU region, including scoping, stakeholder alignment, tracking, and delivery readiness
- Maintain a consolidated view of mandate status, milestones, dependencies, and key risks for governance and reporting
- Identify impacted parties and ensure timely awareness and involvement
- Promote consistent processes for intake, decisioning, documentation, and communications across the EU region
- Provide support for other networks or domestic schemes as needed, maintaining consistent standards
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in payments, with proven knowledge of card acquiring and network operating models
- Practical working knowledge of Visa and Mastercard scheme rules and requirements
- Ability to convert complex rule language into clear guidance for Relationship Managers and Product teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to drive outcomes through influence
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and timelines
- Collaborative mindset, promoting teamwork and inclusivity
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience supporting scheme certifications, validations, or audits
- Familiarity with European regulation impacting payments
- Experience running structured change intake processes, including stakeholder mapping and tracking dashboards

In the Payment Network Office, you will enable Relationship Managers (RMs) and Product Domains to navigate and execute against Visa and Mastercard scheme rules and requirements for the EU region. Your core focus is to provide timely rule interpretation, guidance, and structured support for RM/Product questions and requests toward the schemes, while also managing EU-relevant Visa/Mastercard mandates end-to-end (intake, impact, coordination, tracking, and readiness). You will translate scheme communications into clear, actionable internal guidance, ensure the right teams are engaged, and help drive consistent, compliant implementation across products, client solutions, and operating processes.
