As a Valuation Control Associate within our team, you will execute price verification and benchmark processes, ensuring fair value across a range of financial products. You will collaborate with functional groups, regulators, and auditors, helping to maintain consistency and integrity within the broader Valuation Control Group framework. Your role will involve enhancing control initiatives, supporting management reporting, and contributing to value-added projects that impact the business, risk, and finance functions. Job responsibilities

  • Execute price verification and benchmark processes, including calculation of fair value adjustments.
  • Assist with established practices and control initiatives within the Valuation Control Group.
  • Support management reporting and regulatory mandates.
  • Partner with functional groups on valuation-related issues and implement measures to ensure fair value.
  • Enhance control frameworks by reviewing independent pricing processes and assessing coverage developments.
  • Implement new tools to improve control efficiency.
  • Contribute to value-added projects related to business, risk, and finance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior management, business heads, regulators, and audit teams.
  • Analyze transaction and process flows for complex financial products.
  • Maintain consistency within the broader Valuation Control Group framework.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Graduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or engineering.
  • Ability to understand complex financial products and analyze transaction flows.
  • Understanding of valuation concepts for financial products and derivatives, with basic accounting knowledge.
  • Analytical and quantitative aptitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, automation, and database skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
