Global Program Management (GPM) is a change management function within Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance & Business Management. The Project Office (PMO) and Business Management (BM) pillar is an internal support team within GPM, operating globally. The team is cross-functional, covering both PMO and BM tasks and supporting all projects and project managers in GPM (around 290 staff, including Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Testers from Finance, Operations, and Technology backgrounds).
As a senior member of the Project Office & Business Management team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that aids project success as well as providing quality financial information to enable our business head to make well-informed decisions and accomplish desired team goals. This requires the role holder to be adept at structuring and implementing new processes and tools, as well as adding to our culture of teamwork, accountability and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities
- Govern portfolio, ensure audit readiness, and oversee projects to align with organizational standards, controls, and strategic objectives.
- Administer and support project tracking and portfolio management tools, including reporting, data quality, and process optimization.
- Translate firmwide policy changes into recommended processes, such as Internal Risk Assessment and Record Retention.
- Govern existing GPM procedures and processes, including compliance with project standards (“Minimum Control Points”).
- Support business management processes, including analysis, reporting, resiliency planning, and inter-affiliate service agreements.
- Stay current with project innovation toolsets and evolving team toolkits.
- Lead training and education initiatives to promote controls and best practices, strengthening project management capabilities and consistency across the team.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Strong project management or prior PMO experience.
- Well-developed analytical skills and attention to detail; able to synthesize and summarize complex data to drive decision-making.
- Strong control mindset, ideally with experience implementing and governing controls.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and recommend process improvements.
- Experienced people manager with effective interpersonal, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate personal initiative, ownership, and accountability.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) and ability to partner with key stakeholders.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Finance, accounting, or risk experience is a plus, but not required.
